Piramal Diagnostic Services adheres to the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 15189 Quality Standards and standards prescribed by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories (NABL). NABL is an autonomous body under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The NABL has a mutual recognition arrangement with APLAC, ILAC, therefore the reports from NABL accredited laboratories are recognized and accepted world over.
Our centres at Dadar (Mumbai), Mahim (Mumbai), Andheri West (Mumbai), Lower Parel (Mumbai) and Kolkata are accredited by NABL. Additionally our Centres of Excellence in Histopathology, Molecular Biology, Immunoassays & Microbiology and Cytogenetics are also accredited by NABL. This achievement which is on par with similar international standards, allows us to ensure world class quality consistently.
We are also proud to inform that our laboratory at Lower Parel in Mumbai and our Centres of Excellence in Histopathology and Molecular Biology are also accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the gold standard in clinical laboratory accreditation. These centres, therefore, have the rare distinction of carrying two premier accreditations, something which very few laboratories in India have.
